Delete your account

This page explains how to request that your Prometric Nurse Prep account and associated personal data are deleted. Use either method below.

How to request account deletion

Option 1 — In the app (fastest)

1. Open the Prometric Nurse Prep app on your Android device.
2. Go to Settings (gear icon).
3. Tap Delete my account.
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

You must be signed in with the account you want deleted. Guest (anonymous) progress is stored only on your device — uninstalling the app or clearing app data removes it.

Option 2 — By email

1. Send an email to support@dhanurseprep.com from the email address linked to your account.
2. Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request - Prometric Nurse Prep.
3. Include: your account email (or Google account email used to sign in), and optionally your display name in the app.

We will confirm the request and complete deletion within 30 days of verifying ownership of the account.

Data that is deleted

When your account deletion is completed, we delete:

• Account information — email, display name, Firebase Authentication account
• Study progress — quiz scores, session history, streaks, bookmarks, exam date, daily goals, and synced progress stored on our servers
• App preferences tied to your account on our servers
• Question reports you submitted (where linked to your account)

Local data on your device (Room database, preferences) is removed when you delete the account in-app, or when you uninstall / clear app data.

Data that may be kept

• Google Play subscription / purchase records — billing history is managed by Google Play. Cancelling or deleting your app account does not automatically cancel a Premium subscription. Manage or cancel in Google Play → Subscriptions. We may retain purchase tokens / verification metadata as required for fraud prevention, accounting, or Google Play policies for up to 1 year after deletion (or longer if legally required).
• Crash and diagnostic logs — anonymized or aggregated Crashlytics data that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained per Firebase retention defaults (typically up to 90 days).
• Advertising data — if you used the free tier, AdMob may retain advertising identifiers under Google’s policies. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Legal holds — we may retain specific records if required to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our Terms.

Retention timeline

• In-app deletion: account and associated personal data are removed from our active systems promptly; backup deletion completes within 30 days.
• Email request: we process verified requests within 30 days.
• Kept data (billing metadata, anonymized diagnostics, legal holds): as described above.
